| China – The World Motor Manufacturing Plants or not? | | Publisher：admin AddDate：2012/8/25 13:26:56 Hits：10166 | As a traditional industry, the electric motor industry has undergone over 100 years of continuous innovation and development. It has turned out to be an indispensable unit for the growth in urban manufacturing and modern life and has played an important role in national economy. In China, motor manufacturing industry, a labor-intensive industry by nature, has unique advantages since it produces rotating machines widely used in different domains of national economy. Consuming nearly 60% of national electrical energy, rotating machines has become one of the irreplaceable components of driving forces in China manufacturing.
According to the statistics from Small and Medium-sized Motor Branch of China Electrical Equipment Industry Association, last year the total industrial output value contributed by small and medium-sized motor industry reached RMB 59.82 billion Yuan, an increase of 13.8% over the previous year; the total output reached 196,644,000 kilowatts, an increase of 21.098 million kilowatts; sales income reached RMB 60.419 billion Yuan, an increase of RMB 7.456 billion Yuan (14.1%).
For 59 enterprises in the statistics, 56 of them increased their output, accounting for 81.16% of the total number of enterprises, and 12 enterprises declined, accounting for 17.39% of the total number of enterprises.
58 enterprises had a solid rise in sales, accounting for 84.06% of the total number of enterprises.
Last year, the profit of the motor industry reached RMB 3.702 billion Yuan, an increase of RMB 372 million over the previous year (11.2%).
Last year’s export exceeded to 30.049 million kilowatts, an increase of 6.776 million kilowatts (29.1%); the export sales reached RMB 5.23 billion Yuan, an increase of RMB 1.24 billion over the previous year (31.2%).
Sui Yongbin, President of China General Machinery Industry Association, once made a public comment: “The electric motor industry holds out broad prospects for development in China. Now in developed countries like America electric motor manufacturers are fewer. They would rather import electric motors than produce them by themselves, which brings enormous business opportunities to China. In another word, China is probably the world motor manufacturing plants in future.”
