1、Before installing, care shall taken to check type and each item of data in the motor nameplate, such as rated power, voltage, frequency, load successive rate which must be in compliance with actual requirements.
2、Motor shall be wiped to clean frequently, all dusts and residues of packages shall be removed, and check to see if all components’ assembly is sound, fasteners are loosens.
3、Rotate the shaft extension of the motor slightly; its rotation shall be flexible without collision sound.
4、Each conduct connection part must be well contacted without rust corrosion; for winding motor, it is required to check if spring pressure of brush is properly sized, if brush and collector ring are well contacted, and if brush is blocked in brush holder.
5、Winding insulation resistance of the motor shall be measured by 500V megohmmeter, and its measured value shall not be lower than 0.5 meghm. If the measured value is lower than empirical value, the motor must perform dry treatment prior to usage, temperature for drying treatment shall not be more than the value specified in table 1.

6、During installing, precise shaft alignment is vital, and care shall be taken. Bad shaft alignment will result in rotated shaft bending or bearing damaging.
7、Coupling or spur gear transmission are adopted for the motor, when the spur gear transmission is adopted, gear pitch circle diameter shall not be less than twice of shaft diameter.

9、In double shaft extension motor, one end of shaft extension that is not used shall have its shaft extension key, lock nut and gasket dismantled and protection cover added prior to start-up.
10、The motor must have good earth, and earth wire shall be properly connected to the ground bolt in the lead box.
11、Connection method
Motor with power smaller than or equal to 132KW, its stator winding adopts Y method, other powers adopt Δ, and YZR series rotor winding adopts Y connection method
12、After connection is completed, the motor shall be started firstly to check its rotating direction, if rotating direction is found to be incorrect, rectification can be made via connecting any two sets of power wires in the three wires.
13、After complete check and installation finishes, once 30～40 minutes no-load running shall be conducted for the motor, if no-load running is normal, load running can be made.
